Doreen Ashton Wagner, Chief Strategist & Managing Director
Co-founder of Greenfield Services, Doreen is the company’s resident visionary. On a day-to-day basis she leads our sales and marketing efforts and oversees the client services team.
Fluent in English and French, Doreen graduated from the University of Ottawa with a BBA in Marketing. Before founding Greenfield Services, Doreen was VP Marketing for The Sutton Place Grande Hotels Group. She also held various sales and marketing positions with Inter-Continental Hotels, Mariposa Cruise Line, Four Seasons Inn on the Park, Park Plaza Hotel Toronto, and Ottawa’s Château Laurier.
Doreen has volunteered with numerous industry-related associations. She was President of both the Toronto and Ottawa Chapters of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), and is currently member of the MPI Foundation Canada Council. She also is a member of the Women’s Executive Network, the University of Ottawa Alumni Association and the Alexandria Women Entrepreneurs.
Doreen is a fan of historical fiction, but as soon as the weather warms you’ll find her tending to a one-acre garden at the home she shares with her husband Heinz, their daughter and their cat. Now you know why this website is filled with gardening references!
Heinz Wagner, Chief Financial Officer
Heinz began his career at the tender age of 13, with a chef apprenticeship in his native Germany. He honed his culinary skills in Switzerland and the UK prior to moving to Canada in 1977 to join the Hyatt Montreal where he became Executive Chef. From 1983-85 he led the kitchen brigade at the Château Laurier where he created lavish menus for royalty and heads of state. (And yes, sharp-eyed readers, that’s where he met his wife and partner, Doreen).
In the fall of 1985 Heinz took on the challenge of Executive Chef for the 1,400-room Toronto Sheraton Centre. Fourteen years later Hotelier Magazine named him amongst the Top 10 most influential chefs in Canada. At the peak of his culinary career he co-founded Greenfield and moved with Doreen to North Glengarry.
With the sound financial and human resources skills he acquired over years of managing multi-million dollar food & beverage operations Heinz is our Director, Finance and Human Resources.
Luckily for us, he still exercises his culinary talents for his family, friends and even his staff at Greenfield!
Meagan Rockett, Director of Project Operations
Meagan was recruited to Greenfield in January 2005 and immediately excelled with her “get-it-done” attitude and efficient phone manner.
In March 2006 she was assigned a special project with the deployment of MeetingsEasy™, the online meetings RFP solution for Ottawa Tourism. Through the process she became well-versed in CVB convention and travel trade sales as well as database management.
In fall 2006 Meagan was promoted to the position of Project Manager, where she sharpened her project management skills. She enjoyed another promotion in February 2010 to Director of Project Operations. In this position Meagan communicates with clients and oversees project logistics, including programming and data management. A self-avowed “geek,” Meagan is also our point person with the implementation of new marketing automation and lead nurturing technology.
Meagan grew up in Orleans, ON and attended Algonquin College in Ottawa, where she obtained two Diplomas and a Certificate in Office Administration. She now lives on a hobby farm in Avonmore with her husband, two kids and a managerie of horses and chickens!
