Over the years we have formed partnerships and accessed many resources to help make our team better.  As we often get asked for advice to help our clients and colleagues with the challenges of business development. Like all good gardeners, we’re happy to share who we consider to be some of the best:

Personal & Team Development:

Betty and Jim Healey of roadSIGNS have been instrumental in helping us advance our goals and objectives at Greenfield Services Inc.  They have taken the time to understand us, our culture and our challenges.

Over the last four years since we have been working with them, they have provided support and strategies which have kept our management team and our staff focused and accountable.  They introduced us to different assessment and planning tools, including Insights Discovery and Strategic Attraction, which are now fully embedded in our organization. The Insights results have helped individual team members to identify their communication and sales style, and helped them understand it in others.  Betty and Jim have facilitated workshops with our team, teaching them how to leverage their style and overcome whatever perceived difficulties they had with a style that is opposite to theirs.

We have also retained roadSIGNS to act as an additional coaching resource for our team.  At times it can be challenging to keep individual team members on track with their development, whether in sales or in other management areas.  Betty and Jim have supported our efforts in keeping our team more accountable and engaged in their own development.  With the help of roadSIGNS we have created a sustainable organizational culture based on trust and mutual respect.

The Strategic Coach

The Strategic Coach is a comprehensive personal and business development program designed specifically for entrepreneurs. Art Sobczak of Business-By-Phone Inc. is an author and public speaker with great free weekly e-mail tips.  He also just published a new book called Smart Calling™.

Sales Caffeine

If you can stand his “in-your-face” style and the occasional profanity,  Jeffrey Gitomer has lots of very practical sales tips at www.gitomer.com. We’ve implemented a number of his suggestions from his book The Little Red Book of Sales.  His weekly “Sales Caffeine” e-newsletter is a great read for anyone even remotely associated with the sales process.
